Local 17 Jonathan DePina wins 2015 Ringside World Championships Boxing Title.

Jon along with his father and trainer traveled to Independence, MO. for the Ringside World Championships Boxing Tournament. Jon eliminated his first two opponents Thursday and Friday before stepping into the ring Saturday for the Title Fight emerging the Champion.

Jon is tough, confident and strong he out boxed his opponents to win the Men's Senior Novice Title Belt weight class 133-141 lbs. bringing it back to Boston with him.

Jon fights out of Peter Welch's Boxing gym in South Boston and is trained by Derek Shea and his father Leo DePina.

Unlike any other sport amateur boxing requires you to be in shape, work hard, stay focused and set high goals.
