Hundreds of boxing fans watched as Sheet Metal Worker Local 17 Apprentice Jon Depina defeated his opponent from N.Y. at the Somerville Dilboy Stadium 6th Annual Fight Night. Jon had a series of jabs, hooks and body blows and was able to display his dominance taking the decision.

The JATC recognized Cox Engineering 5th year apprentice Franklin Garcia with the Michael J. Burke Memorial Scholarship Award. The Michael J. Burke Scholarship goes to the graduating apprentice who displayed academic achievement, a commitment to help others in school and on the job-site, has a strong work ethic and leadership qualities.
